Environment

What is Trestlewood doing for the environment? The simple answer is that we are turning millions of board feet of reclaimed wood into products that would otherwise have to come from new trees.

We hope that we are doing more than this. We hope that we are providing an example of what might be called "practical environmentalism," or a concern for the environment which is balanced by a healthy dose of fiscal responsibility.

We have a tremendous amount of confidence in Trestlewood reclaimed wood products. We believe that the beauty, uniqueness and character these products bring to the table make them a formidable competitor to new wood products, especially in certain arenas. We feel very comfortable competing with new wood and other building materials on a level playing field, without the benefit of public subsidies or special legislative protection. We believe the most important thing Trestlewood is doing for the environment is showing that environmentalism and good business can go hand-in-hand.
