Answers to Some Common Questions

Is Trestlewood a company or a type of wood?
Both. Trestlewood is (1) a company that procures, remanufactures and wholesales reclaimed wood products and (2) the brand name of the reclaimed wood products produced and marketed by this company and its partners.

Is Trestlewood as good as new wood products?

No, it's better! Trestlewood typically stacks up very favorably against new wood products in physical characteristics such as tightness of grain and stability. And then there is the "character" department. Nail holes, seasoning checks and other physical reminders of its reclaimed nature endow Trestlewood with character which beats that of new wood products hands down. If you are looking for something beautiful and unique, you are looking for Trestlewood.

How does Trestlewood compare in price with new wood products?

The significant differences between Trestlewood and new wood products often make it difficult to do an "apples-to-apples" price comparison. This question becomes a subjective one whose answer depends upon your particular project and objectives. If cost and basic utility are your focus, you will probably find that Trestlewood is more expensive than new wood products. If, on the other hand, you attach significant weight to such factors as appearance, uniqueness and character, we believe you will find Trestlewood to be very competitively priced, assuming that you can even find a comparable new wood product.

What products does Trestlewood offer that are especially unique?

Our Trestlewood II product lines set the standard for uniqueness. The salt and other minerals of the Great Salt Lake have created a distinctive, colorful set of products that you will not find anywhere else.
