Factories, warehouse, mills, army depots, storage buildings, schools, mines, trestles, drydocks and all manner of other structures were built across the Western United States and Canada using strong, straight and beautiful Douglas Fir timbers. Trestlewood reclaims these beautiful, historic timbers and offers them to its customers for use as weathered timbers, resawn timbers, trusses and frames. You simply can't beat the beauty, stability and history of a frame or trusses built with timbers cut from reclaimed Douglas Fir.

Characteristics

  • Texture: Bandsawn
  • Wide range of characteristics depending on source and other factors.
  • May have nail, bolt and other fastener holes, commonly with staining around them. The quanitity and size of the holes can vary widely from timber to timber.

Dimensions

  • Standard cross-sections: 4x6 to 10x10
  • Standard lengths: to 16'
  • Target dimensions: 1/2" under full-sawn dimensions up to 5" and 3/4" under full-sawn dimensions for over 5", with (+/-) 1/8" tolerance.
  • Significantly larger and longer timbers are often available depending on inventory in stock.
  • The more latitude the customer can provide in acceptable timber sizes, the better able Trestlewood is to meet the customer's timber needs in an economical and timely manner.
