Rescued Resawn Douglas Fir Timbers - Product Info
Trestlewood's Douglas Fir Rescued Timbers are generally resawn from nature-damaged (fire, insect, etc.) logs or from by-products of sawmill, logging or other wood-processing operations. Often the logs from which these timbers are cut are "standing dead" and are more stable than timbers cut from green logs.
Rescued Timbers offer a competitively-priced alternative to reclaimed timbers in applications where the stability of reclaimed timbers is not a crucial consideration.

Salvage logging tracts from different locations in North America. This material is processed from new logs which were cut from tracts made available for logging because of forest fires or beetle or other insect infestations. The tracts were opened to logging because the trees were dead or dying, though not every individual tree was dead before being cut down.Tags
