Mushroomwood originates deep underground in Appalachian coal-country where no-longer-productive coal mines have been converted into mushroom growing facilities. Thousands of board feet of species such as cypress, hemlock and cedar have been used in these facilities to provide growing platforms for the mushrooms.



Characteristics

  • Texture: Ultra rustic
  • Color: Deep weathering, with dark rustic brown tones
  • Species: Mixed; may include Cypress, Cedar, Hemlock, others

  • Available Configurations: Board-and-Bat, Board-on-Board, Board-to-Board, Wedgelap
  • Thickness: 1" (ranges from 5/8" to 4/4") or 2" (ranges from 1-5/8" to 8/4")

  • Length: Random, generally from 4' to 14'
  • Options: Kiln-drying and fumigating
