Hand-Hewn Sleeper Middles
Hand Hewn Middles are produced by cutting 2 slabs out of the middle of sleeper beams. The slab is then hewn by Trestlewood artisans and laid out to weather in the harsh climate of Promontory Point. The result is an economical hewn log siding.
Mixed Species Sleeper Middles
Hand Hewn Sleepers are logs which are hewn on two opposing faces. The other two sides are left rounded. Sleepers are also sometimes called half-rounds. Sleepers were the main floor joist in many old barns. Trestlewood processes sleepers into authentic hand hewn skins and the middle piece which is left is called a sleeper middle. It has bandsawn faces and rounded edges.

Trailblazer Mixed Hardwood Weathered Lumber
Trailblazer Mixed Hardwood is carefully reclaimed from siding, roof boards, granary boards, loft floors and other parts of vintage structures. Trailblazer Mixed Hardwood is regularly used for exterior siding, interior paneling, ceiling material, soffit material, fascia, base and case, trim, doors, cabinets, etc. Trailblazer Mixed Hardwood generally has a mixture of brown and gray tones and has the texture of old saw marks on at least one face.
