    Live edges are natural edges.  Reclaimed lumber with one or more edges which have been left natural (rather than cut off / edged) has live edge(s).  Some live edges are a lot more pronounced and dramatic than other live edges.  

    Mantels with live edges have been some of Trestlewood's most popular mantels.  The photos above provide examples of finished and unfinished live edge mantels.
